Check out your latest credit card bill. How many of them are transactions to book a reservation? Have you ever wonder all the expenses accumulated since we open an account?

This series explores the workings of systems and environments in our lives.

A Boarding Pass to Timbuktu

Imagine you purchase a flight ticket for July 2017 to Timbuktu. The receipt you get probably has the booking number to be exchanged with the boarding pass.

There might be alphanumerical or numerical data in each of our reservations. Let say we can crunch all of them together. How would they look like?

Our own little bubble of data

I imagine a bubble that wraps us as a consumer. A sphere that tells about our journey. Perhaps it has 10 meters radius that stretches from the core to the outer shell. Now, maybe the radius holds our purchase history in a year.

Visual, visual

Take a look at Google’s Arts and Culture TED Talk. In (03:43) they visualized the data both in linear timeline term and compressed globe term. My imagination is a bit like the latter. This is just my own wondering and tinkering. What about you?
