The Joy of Blogging

Nowadays, you can get so much out of a blog. Want to catch up with a TV series? Just check one of the blogs. Want to save up some money? Some tricks are given out to you online. Fashionistas? Fashion blogs are there for you! Even crazier, I got a huge amount of information about personal finance.

The point is... blog is more important than ever because it gives free information online. The only question is how exactly can you retain a reader's attention, or even attract one.

In the past 10 months, I was an active blogger at Fuqua School of Business. My job was to introduce the program I joined, Master of Management Studies, to prospective students. The school didn't only blog to promote their education programs. Fuqua has pinterest, twitter, facebook accounts for people to access.

Then the question rises: why blogging? Is it still relevant to what we do today? My answer would be yes. Definitely yes.

Blog = Source of Information

Be Creative. Be Concise.

People are usually busy or multi-tasking, and they want to grasp information quickly. Writers now are more creative than ever. They combined videos and visual content to attract readers, and actually retain their attention. Essentially, we want readers to learn from what we share. It's all about sharing our knowledge.

Then let's start writing!

But I'm not sure what to write. I don't think people want to see my writing. What do people want to read? Those might be the questions that come up to your mind. But honestly, you can write from A-Z to your readers. Who knows, maybe someone wants to know how is a living in your area. Or maybe they just want to hear your opinion about a brand.

The answer is simple: just take action. Write. And Write.
